CREATIVE DESIGN – SUSTAINABLE APPROACH

Company Profile

Our roots are modernity with a smile on its face.  We believe that architecture should be creative, beautiful and exciting and that art and craft should form a strong vein of support through the design process.

Our new design office, built in 2007, is an outward expression of the environmental basis that underpins the practice ethos.

We are committed to the environment and have championed timber frame in Northern Ireland. Moreover bell architects are the first practice to be involved in the construction of a “passive house” in Northern Ireland.

As a practice, we have been concerned about environmental design responsibility for over 7 years.  Practice principal Murray Bell trained in environmental & ecological design whilst qualifying as an architect in Aberdeen.

The building itself has been used as a demonstrator project; an exemplar in many ways, of how we believe building can and should be realised.

The building is unashamedly modern, and yet has a degree of softness, that allows the practice to function with a warm, welcoming, and friendly atmosphere within.  Everybody that visits enjoys the interior and the freshly ground coffee that is constantly on tap!
